I started my Raverly Project file for it - even though last term I never updated the project file. This year I plan to tease. Showing glimpses of colour and patterns and what not!

Ron being Harry’s best friend is responsible for his comrade and morale. He is the humour in Harry’s life and is often the supplier of the simplistic solutions Harry needs. Hermionie on the other hand, is complex and keeps Harry on task and focused.
Harry is a friend and joyful with Ron. Ron brings out his childlike innocence he was never granted at the Dursleys. Hermionie offers Harry stability and is a confidant for his woes – especially those concerning girls – namely Ginny.

My Package!

Alright, while this lovely little OWL arrived at my door almost 2 weeks ago - I tried and I tried to get the little Owl to take off again and fly back to Pernelle where it would be nice and warm again.

But at last, I have pictures to show, and yarn to snuggle with over the Canadian winter that has stubbornly arrived.

Let's start at the beginning

I would have posted a pic of the package and the wee 'ittle Owls drawn on it, but I after uploading it I noticed sensitive addresses and names on the label - I thought for protection against Dark Wizards. But I thought the Owls on the package were adorable.

I am spoiled - look! Everything in Green tissue paper!

I am utterly unskilled at rotating pics - I always forget before putting them on the blog. Look at all those lovely lttle objects - I had a field day opening everything. From yarn, to a stash of hooks, and my FAVORITE TEA OF ALL TIME (yay!) and the Limited Edition, Official Arrows Project Bag with a perfectly Quidditch appropriate Blue and Silver Quilt Snitch on it. This is fantastic - I needed a Crochet Bag - yay!

Hooks and Hooks Galore! Lovely, and the patterns Pernelle sent are so inticing - the Owl mitts are already started. Oh, and I cross stitch, and I was sent fantastic Satin Floss - that are soon to be incorporated into a lovely Hogwarts Crest Cross stitch.

Candy cuteness - this now holds my stitch markers - this was just to cute!

Did I mention I like Irish Breakfast Tea - I do, I love it - Perenelle - you are the BEST!!

BTW, those cookies are delicious, and I can't get them here :( They are so good.

Yarn. Yarn. Yarn. It's so yummy and in my favorite colours (mind the U) and in lovely muted tones - these are perfect - too generous.

Perenelle - you are a gifted Spoiler - I loved the kit - I loved the yarn, the project bag, and every little tidbit in the package. THANKS!

Thankfulness

As a Canadian, I am thankful it has not snowed where I live yet, that is hasn't snowed and stayed.

As every Canadian knows, thanksgiving is in October. The proper month for thanks - far enough away from Christmas, and a few green plants are usually hanging on. If we, like my American friends to the south, held ours in November- there would be absolutly nothing to celebrate - a bleak, usually snow covered landscape, with everyone beginning to hibernate. Now, I don't mean to sound like a Thanksgiving scrouge, but I am trully thankful that our Thanksgiving is in October - what a beautiful month in Canada. Bright red maple leaves, and crisp apples everywhere.

In October, I celebrate - my close military family and friends who are intrigual in my life. I celebrate my home, which is warm and inviting, my skills, and my fortune. I love to make Thanksgiving dinner, at 20, I have only cooked a few birds, but all were (mostly) edible.

To all the American's out there, Happy Thanksgiving, and enjoy the turkey - you may think you will be eating it forever, but it never lasts...

Alright, All of my projects are done for my Spoilee...and I was just waiting on one itty, bitty, little piece to be delievered to me, and it arrived. Unfortuantly, I was at work when it did, all that was left on my porch was one of those 'you were not home' notes and I have to pick it up at such and such a time at such and such a place. Now, on my way home, I needed to pick up a few grocery's, so I did. By the time I got home, it was about 4:45, and I had discovered the note, I had to pick it up by 5:00, so I hoped back on my broom and tried to get to the deliever place. I think you know where I am going with this - I didn't make it. I think my broom needs a tune-up.

Leaving at lunch to pick up the last Spoilee gift, and then pack everything away. Fingers crossed that I can get everything packed by Friday, to send my package off!

Tomorrow is Remembrance Day, and all the preperations have been a great time steal on my final crochet project. It is comming along beautifully - I do hope Stellwa likes what I have done! This one is a colour that rhymes with _________.

I do hope, the WWW, is up in the next day or so - so I can quickly get a blog post in about it nice and early in the week - otherwise Saturday is going to be a total wash (I'm not home at all, not even near a computer, camping will do that to you, and yes, I am going camping in Noevember!)

My internet pooped out on me this week, and of course I procrastinated on the Where is Winnie challenge, oh, no. Must make a new effort next week and insure I do it the day it is isued.

I recieved bad news today, my Spoiler, Perelle, must undergo surgery - I wish her a speedy recovery. And I am so glad she has help at home and she will not be dropping out of the SWAP, meaning she will still recieve a package from her Spoiler.

Well, I should really hop on my broom and get crocheting - those self-stitching spells don't last long y'know! My spoilee's second project is nearing the end...it's a __________.

Winnie - she's in New Zealand at the Lanarch Castle in Dunedin and in Quebec, which is in CANADA - yay! Oh, in St-Donat in Quebec! Been there, it's lovely in autumn, all off North-East Ontario and West-North Quebec are beatiful. Fell lucky to live here! Maple syrup is my yummy - lucky me, I am in range for tasty syrup. I go collect maple sap every spring for just this purpose. I hope it's actually where she is!

I had a challenging time finding another June birthday, but my very own teammate, Selena Starfire of the Applyby Arrows (Arrows Arise!) shared the month! I had fun with the excuse of homework to look at everyone’s blogs. A few peoples blogs had trouble with accepting comments – so a couple of the a forementioned Quidditch players didn’t get a blog comment, but I fired one off to their Raverly instead! First Assignment done, now, back to my yarn choices – what would my spoilee like more? I should send her a quiz.

Flow Chart of Wishes

I am stuck at the University, so I am playing with a flow chart maker, here are a few things I like - in flow chart form.

I love DMC Satin Cross Stitch Floss, and I have NONE of it anymore (hint, hint...)
I need anything for cross stitch, and Crochet, as I borrowed all I used to have and had to give it back when I moved.
I love Moss Green, hunter green, any rich green. Creame colours and the British and Canadian Spelling of words (as I am a Canadian).
I love Kinder chocolate. Love it. Though I am not crazy about any other kind of cholate really, I am a vanilla person.
I don't burn candles, and I hate herbel tea. But I love black teas, Irish Breakfast is my fav.
I love Celtic music and the bagpipes.
Syltherin is my favorite House, but I love to read and learn. I secretly like the Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency.
I am in the Canadian Air Force and attend a University in the Great White North!

My goodness! My gracious! I'm an Appleby Arrow, I dare say I need to kick up my brrom and get my butt in gear for this season of Quidditch and crochet! Does anyone think it's sound advice to practice my chaining while swooping around the keepers ring?

I can hardly wait until Monday when I find out who I am swapping with - Picking out Yarn is like shopping for shoes - I have to try everything! I go in for one skien and come out with 3 or 4!

Hopes and Pray's that I am chosen for the Magpies - I adore Midnight Black's and Crisp Whites. Actually, I know I am a rookie Quidditch Player (my very first year trying out for the Sock Swap) I hope I can just get on a team!

I am Sariad Swiftrunner, a Canadian witch with as great Keeper Skills as Crochet Skills (an avid Rookie at both!) . I am currently being mentored by a wonderful Crocheter (?) and have just made my first pair of mits. Looking forwards to a season of crafting and Quidditch! I am a seasoned Cross Stitcher and hope I can find the time to make matching cross stitch patches for her Swap Kit.
