Ron being Harry’s best friend is responsible for his comrade and morale. He is the humour in Harry’s life and is often the supplier of the simplistic solutions Harry needs. Hermionie on the other hand, is complex and keeps Harry on task and focused.
Harry is a friend and joyful with Ron. Ron brings out his childlike innocence he was never granted at the Dursleys. Hermionie offers Harry stability and is a confidant for his woes – especially those concerning girls – namely Ginny.
